Survey

We have identified several new features that we think would help us improve the usefulness of the New Notts News website. We've assembled them into a short Survey so we can gauge the level of desirability of each feature and also to identify the level of practical support that exists for supplying contributions to it.

We expect that respondents who would most benefit from a suggested feature would be those that would be least capable of contributing to it, and vice versa. This is a good thing, since one of our ambitions for the re-launched website is to create an online community that can capitalise on the accumulated expertise of experienced newsletter editors and direct this knowledge towards solving problems and providing advice to less skilled newsletter editors.

Please be aware that it will only be possible to implement a selection of the proposed features straight away and those features that depend on members contributing to them will only be viable if sufficient respondents indicate they are willing to contribute.

Note that if you express an interest in using or contributing to a feature, it doesn't mean that you will need to be capable of creating or modifying web pages or, indeed, of anything technical. We'll take care of all that.

Also, although we are heavily involved with the website re-launch, we realise that it is only one of several channels of communication to members. So, where applicable, we've provided an option for respondents to indicate if they would like a feature to be included in a printed newsletter as well as on the website.
